DTC Postgraduate Studentships 2013

50 Wales DTC Studentships were available in a range of pathways commencing October 2013. These were available on a 1+3 (4 year) 2+2 (4 year) or +3 (3 year) basis, depending on the chosen pathway (see the pathway pages for further information). The funding opportunities that were available are listed below.

Cardiff School of Social Sciences

The final decision as to which pathway the studentships available through this school were assigned was not made until the studentships were awarded. There were 12 studentships available on the pathways that were offered by the Cardiff School of Social Sciences (Education, Science and Technology Studies, Social Policy, Social Work and Social Care, Socio-legal Studies (Criminology) and Sociology). Value of Award

A full standard studentship consists of academic fees (£3,828 in Session 2012/13), together with a maintenance grant (£13,590 in Session 2012/13) paid at standard Research Council rates and a Research Training Support Grant. Economics and Advanced Quantitative Methods award holders will receive an additional £3,000 on top of the standard ESRC stipend.
